This is for you if
- You run a lab or a space that hosts student teams or interns.
- You have a startup with two or three good people, but none of them has taken a product all the way.
- You have a research project that has to reach a prototype, not only a report.
How I work
- At the start I look at the project and tell you, honestly, what can be done in the time there is.
- Every week, one call with the team: what is done, what is blocking, what comes next.
- I check drawings, wiring, and code before they become a problem.
- I tell you where things stand, in plain words.
What you have at the end
- A plan with dates that the team follows.
- Costly mistakes found early, while they are cheap.
- A clear update every week.
Real cases
In 2025 I followed twelve bachelor theses, on six briefs, with VU Amsterdam and the University of Twente: a wind turbine, a Stirling engine, walking robots, an aerostat. I also followed theses in artificial intelligence and an MSc thesis in robotics.
At the VU Demonstrator Lab I helped more than fifty students and startups with architecture and prototypes.
What I work with
- Electronics
- Program inside
- Mechanics
- Robotics
- Artificial intelligence
- Prototypes
I do not bring a method with a hard name. I bring a written plan, one call a week, and an experienced eye on the real work.
What it costs
As a guide: €95 an hour, before VAT. We usually agree a number of hours a month, so you know in advance what you spend.
These prices are a guide. When the job is clear, I give you one fixed price for the whole project. When it is still open, we go by the hour. Every project is different: write to me, we talk, and then I send you a written price for that job.
